If you are entranced, you cannot look away — a person, a song, a dance, or a view has taken all of your attention because it is so beautiful, strange, or interesting. It is a feeling, not a door. The word is the -ed form of a verb entrance, said en-TRANCE (stress on the second part), meaning “to hold someone as if in a waking dream.” That verb is built from trance, not from the doorway word entrance (EN-trance, stress on the first part). In stories, magic can entrance you; in ordinary life we mostly use this -ed form: I was entranced by the dancer. It sounds a little like a book or a review, and it is kind: you are not stupid for staring; the thing earned your eyes.
