Deplorably is the adverb: in a deplorable way, or to a deplorable degree. Someone can behave deplorably. A team can play deplorably. A room can be deplorably dirty — here it means “so badly that it shocks you”. It is formal and rather heavy, like the adjective. Though actually, before an adjective it often just intensifies (“deplorably late”, “deplorably ignorant”), which is a little looser than “in a shocking manner”, but still stronger than “very”. Everyday speech prefers “terribly”, “awfully”, or “really badly”.
