Dated, in this sense, means old-fashioned: it shows its year. Clothes, hair, jokes, computer design, even a way of speaking can be dated — not wrong, just no longer in style. It can be kinder than calling something ugly; you are saying it belongs to an earlier time. A thing can be dated and still loved, or dated and ready to be put away. This is not the same as they dated last year (went out as a couple), and not the same as the letter was dated 3 May (had that day written on it). Those are other jobs of the same spelling.
dated 在這裡是形容詞，意思是過時、老派，看得出屬於某個年代。衣服、髮型、笑話、電腦設計，甚至說話方式，都可能變得 dated。它不是說東西不好，只是不再流行。

From date: Middle English date, from Old French date, from Late Latin data, from Latin datus 'given', past participle of dare 'to give'.

組成From date (a time) + -ed: the idea is that something belongs to an old date.
