Contentment is the name of that feeling: being happy and satisfied, not because you won a prize, but because life feels enough. People say “a sense of contentment” or “find contentment in simple things.” Though actually, many English speakers treat contentment as a little deeper than a passing happy mood. Happiness can go up and down in a day. Contentment is closer to peace: you are not fighting your life. It is a calm noun, a bit more at home in writing, talks about life, and kind advice than in a quick text. A young person might just say “I’m good” or “I’m fine with it.”
