From Vulgar Latin complangere 'to beat the breast (in grief)', com- (intensive) + plangere 'to strike, lament'. The old image is striking your chest to let grief out; now it is letting a grievance out in words.
源自通俗拉丁文 complangere「捶胸（悲嘆）」：com-（加強）＋ plangere「捶打、哀嘆」。古早的畫面是傷心到捶自己胸口把苦倒出來，後來收斂成用話把不滿講出來，正好連到核心的『把不舒服說出聲』。
