Circulatory is the body-science word for things that have to do with blood moving around you. Your heart pushes blood out; vessels carry it to the rest of you and back again. That whole loop is the circulatory system. A circulatory problem is a problem in that loop — the heart, the arteries, the veins, the way blood flows. The word is medical and fairly formal. In class and at the doctor you will hear it; in ordinary talk people say blood circulation or heart and blood vessels. It does not mean “circular” as in a round shape, and it is not about gossip , even though circulate can mean “go round among people.” Here the going-round is inside the body, and the thing going round is blood.
