Think of the level where the world is made of substances that combine, break apart, and turn into something new. 'Chemical' points at that layer — what stuff is made of and how it reacts and changes, not how it looks or moves.

可以想成看世界的一個層次：東西是由各種物質組成的，這些物質會結合、分解、變成新的東西。chemical 指的就是這一層——關乎物質是什麼做成的、彼此怎麼反應和變化，而不是它的外表或動作。
