A blow-dryer is a small electric machine you hold in your hand. It blows hot or cool air onto wet hair to dry it, and it helps you shape the hair with a brush. Homes and hair salons both use them. American English often says blow-dryer or hair dryer; British English often says . Same machine. Though actually, dryer by itself in a house usually means the big machine for clothes, so people add blow- or hair- to keep the two apart.
吹風機(中國大陸書面較常說「電吹風」)
