Bestial is a heavy, rather old-fashioned word for behaviour that feels less than human — cruel, wild, or disgusting in the way people picture a savage animal. Calling someone’s violence bestial is a strong moral insult, not a cute “like a cat” remark. You meet it in news, history, and books more than in chat. Though actually, in older writing it could also mean simply “of beasts / animals,” without the cruelty. It has nothing to do with best. It comes from Latin bēstia, “beast,” through Old French and Middle English.
獸性的;殘暴的
