- 1
Bashfulness is the feeling or the habit of getting easily around people — the shyness itself, not the person. You can talk about a child’s bashfulness, or say that praise brought out his bashfulness. It is a slightly formal, slightly old-fashioned noun; in everyday talk many people would just say shyness. The feeling is social: it shows when others are looking. It is not fear of danger, and it is not the same as not liking people.
靦腆、害羞(指這種個性或當下的感覺,不是在說那個人)

bashfulnessnoun

The quality or property of being bashful
- I, smiling in his face, took the letter, and immediately catching gently hold of his shirt sleeve, drew him towards me, blushing, and almost trembling; for surely his extreme bashfulness, and utter inexperience, call'd for, at least, all the advances to encourage him
