    Old Greek stories tell of Atlantis, a great island west of , where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. After an earthquake, the island sank and was lost under the water. A Greek writer, , is the one who wrote the story down. Though actually, nobody can buy a ticket there: it is a legend, not a place on a school map. Some people hear it as a warning about a proud land that fell. Some still look for ruins under the sea. The name comes from Atlas, the giant who held up the sky; the Atlantic Ocean belongs to the same family of names.
