    Atlanta is the capital city of Georgia, a state in the south of the United States. Though actually, this Georgia is not the country that sits between Europe and Asia; it is one of the fifty American states, and Atlanta sits inland, not beside the sea. The name was supposedly built as a feminine form of Atlantic — a rather grand name for a city that does not even face that ocean. People know Atlanta as a huge airport city, as the home of the company, and as a centre of the Black civil rights movement; Martin Luther King Jr. grew up there. It held the Summer Olympic Games in 1996.
