Zambian is the word for anything or anyone belonging to Zambia, the country in south-central Africa whose capital is Lusaka. It works two ways, and English learners need both.

As an adjective it goes in front of a noun: Zambian food, the Zambian government, a Zambian passport, the Zambian border. As a noun it means a person from that country: "She's a Zambian", "three Zambians were on the team". Notice that the noun can be counted and made plural — Zambians — which is not true of every country word in English.
