A woodsman is a man whose life and work are in the forest — cutting trees, caring for them, planting new ones, and generally knowing how to live and move safely in the woods. The word carries more than a job title: calling someone 'a good woodsman' praises their skill at reading tracks, making a fire, and not getting lost, so you will see it about hunters and guides too, not only about people paid to cut timber. It feels old-fashioned and a little storybook — think of fairy tales, where the woodsman is the strong kind man who saves Little Red Riding Hood. Modern workers usually get a plain job word instead: 'logger' (American) or 'lumberjack' for tree-cutting, 'forester' for someone trained to manage a forest. Note it is 'woodsman' with an s, and the plural is 'woodsmen'. Like all -man words, it sounds male; today many people would say 'forest worker' when the person could be anyone.
樵夫、林務工人(在森林裡工作、熟悉山林的人);童話裡的「獵人/樵夫」常是這個字
