Womanizing is the habit of a man having short sexual relationships with many different women, one after another or several at the same time, without caring much about any of them. It is used as an adjective in front of a noun — "her womanizing husband", "a womanizing film star" — and also as a noun for the behaviour itself: "his womanizing finally ended the marriage." The related noun for the man is a womanizer, and there is a verb, to womanize, though the verb sounds old-fashioned now and you will mostly meet the -ing form. The word always carries disapproval. It is not a neutral way to say a man dates a lot; it says he uses women. Notice also that it is only used about men. There is no common word like this for a woman, and that is not an accident — the language grew in a time when people judged men and women differently, and the word still carries that old world with it. In tone it is a little formal and a little old-fashioned, the word of a newspaper article or a biography of some famous man. Young people talking about a friend today are more likely to say he is "a player" or that he "sleeps around". You will very often see it in the fixed pairing "drinking and womanizing", describing a man who lives wildly.
