A Winnebago is a large motorhome — a vehicle you drive that has a bed, a kitchen and a toilet inside, so you can travel and live in it. Winnebago is really a brand name, an American company that has made these since the 1960s, but Americans use the word for any big motorhome the way people here say 普拿疼 for any painkiller. Because of that, you see it written with a capital W (the brand) and sometimes with a small w (the general thing), and both turn up. What the word carries with it is a picture: an American family driving across the country on holiday, stopping at campsites — that is the feeling, and the word usually sounds slightly comic or nostalgic, partly because the vehicles are so big and boxy. British English rarely uses it; a British person says 'campervan' or 'motorhome'. Note also that Winnebago is the name of a Native American people and of places in the US, so in a history or geography text it will not mean a vehicle at all. Careful with 'caravan': in British English a caravan is towed behind a car and has no engine, while a Winnebago drives itself.
