核心畫面

At its heart why reaches for the REASON behind something — it points at an event and asks 'what's the cause, the point, the reason for this?' Hold that one move: the mind turning to look for the reason. Almost everything else is this same reaching-for-a-reason bent to a feeling or a use: pushed back as a challenge ('why bother?'), into a suggestion ('why not try?'), or cried out in distress ('why me?'). Even the old surprise-word 'Why!' and the noun 'the whys and wherefores' circle the same idea of reasons.
