The adverb of whole-hearted: doing something with all of yourself in it, holding nothing back.
The adverb of whole-hearted是whole-hearted的副詞: doing something做一件事 with all of yourself in it把自己整個人都投入進去, holding nothing back一點都不保留。
You attach it to a verb rather than a noun — 'I whole-heartedly agree', 'she threw herself whole-heartedly into the job', 'he apologised whole-heartedly'. In real use it clusters around a small set of verbs: agree, support, recommend, endorse, embrace, apologise, and 'throw yourself into'.
You attach it to a verb rather than a noun你會把它接在動詞上,而不是名詞上——'I whole-heartedly agree'『I whole-heartedly agree』, 'she threw herself whole-heartedly into the job'『she threw herself whole-heartedly into the job』, 'he apologised whole-heartedly'『he apologised whole-heartedly』。In real use實際使用時, it clusters around a small set of verbs它會集中出現在幾個固定的動詞旁邊: agree同意, support支持, recommend推薦, endorse背書, embrace擁抱接受, apologise道歉, and和 'throw yourself into'『投入』。
It is a way of saying 'completely' that also says 'and I feel it', which is why it turns up so often in recommendations and in public agreement — a reference letter will say 'I whole-heartedly recommend her'.
It is a way of saying 'completely'它是一種說『完全』的方式 that also says而同時也說了 'and I feel it'『而且我是真心的』, which is why是為什麼 it turns up so often它常常出現 in recommendations and in public agreement在推薦信和公開表態裡的原因——a reference letter一封推薦信 will say會說 'I whole-heartedly recommend her'『I whole-heartedly recommend her』。
