    A baby-talk word for . As a verb: "Do you need to wee-wee?" As a noun, it means the urine itself, or the act — "He did a wee-wee." Adults use it when talking to small children, and small children use it about themselves; an adult saying it about themselves is joking. Mostly British and Commonwealth English; American families more often say "pee-pee" or "tinkle". In some places, especially American children's speech, "wee-wee" can also mean a little boy's penis, so the word is not identical everywhere. Written with a (wee-wee), sometimes as one word. The plain adult words are "" (formal, medical), "pee" (normal casual), "go to the toilet" (polite everyday), and in Britain a short "wee" on its own does the job — "I need a wee."
