A short, wide board you stand on while a boat pulls you across the water — like a on a lake. Both feet are in, you hold a rope handle, and you ride the white water the boat leaves behind, using it as a ramp to jump. The sport is 'wakeboarding', the person is a 'wakeboarder', and the word also works as a verb: 'we went wakeboarding at the reservoir'. The 'wake' in it is not sleep — it is the trail of churned-up water behind a moving boat, and that trail is the whole point of the sport. Compare water-skiing, where you have one ski on each foot and the boat goes faster; wakeboarding is slower and more about tricks.
寬板滑水板;(動詞)玩寬板滑水(台灣多說「滑水板」;wakeboarding 寬板滑水)
組成wake (the line of disturbed water a boat leaves behind it) + board. So: the board you ride on a boat's wake.
