Willing to take risks — ready to try something new even when it might go wrong. It describes people ('a venturesome young woman'), and it can also describe the acts themselves ('a venturesome plan', 'a venturesome investment'), where it shades toward 'risky, bold'. The feeling of the word is warm and : a venturesome person is adventurous and brave, not reckless. It is a formal, , rather old-fashioned word. You will meet it in novels and older writing far more than in speech; in ordinary conversation people say adventurous, or bold, or 'up for anything'. Because it is uncommon, using it makes your writing sound a bit literary, which is fine if that is what you want. Note the difference from adventurous: adventurous is about wanting excitement and new experience, while venturesome leans on the risk part — you are willing to lose something.
