Urology is the part of medicine that deals with the urinary system — the kidneys, the tubes, the bladder, and the way the body makes and passes urine. In men it also covers the sexual organs, so a treats things like prostate trouble and problems with getting an erection, as well as kidney stones, blood in the urine, or having to get up many times in the night. Note the shape carefully: `urology` is the FIELD, the branch of study; the doctor is a ``. The line you were given describes the doctor, but the word itself names the subject. You see `urology` on a hospital sign, on a department door, or in a sentence like "she is studying urology". You say "go to urology" meaning the department, and "see a " meaning the person. It is a formal, medical word — nobody uses it in a joke or a metaphor. Women see too, though for problems below the belt many women go to 婦產科 instead, which is one reason the clinic sign here often feels like a men's place.
組成uro- (to do with urine) + -logy (the study of something). The -logy half goes all the way back to Greek λόγος (lógos), a word, an account, reason — so a -logy is literally "the talk about" a thing. Once you see it, half the science words on a hospital sign open up.
