Describes something made or done without imagination, energy, or fresh thinking — it is competent but flat. It is not the same as "bad". An uninspired meal is edible; an uninspired essay answers the question; an uninspired performance hits all the notes. That is exactly the complaint: nothing is wrong, and nothing is alive either. It is a critic's word, common in reviews of food, films, buildings, and design, and it lands as a real put-down precisely because it sounds so mild.
It also works the other way round, about a person rather than their work: someone who feels uninspired has no urge to create anything, feels flat, cannot get going. "I sat down to write and just felt uninspired." Here it describes a mood, not a judgement of quality, and it is a gentle, forgiving word — closer to "I have no spark today" than to any accusation of .
Because the two uses share a form, context does the sorting: an uninspired *thing* has been judged; an uninspired *person* is simply feeling empty. Slightly formal, but ordinary in writing and in speech about work.
組成un-（不、沒有）+ inspired（受到啟發的、有靈感的）。inspired 來自 inspire，字面是「吸氣進入」——古人認為靈感是神吹進人心裡的一口氣。
