    Used when you say something that you wish were not true or that makes you sad.

    「unfortunately」用來帶出一件「你希望不是這樣、但事實就是這樣」的消息，等於中文的「可惜、很遺憾、不巧」。常放在句首加逗號，先替壞消息打個招呼，讓語氣柔和一點，例如 Unfortunately, the shop is closed（很可惜，店關了）。它的反義詞是 fortunately（幸好）。
