A turban is a long strip of cloth wound tightly round the head, again and again, until it forms a firm covering. It is not a hat you put on and take off in one movement — it is tied fresh, and doing it well takes practice. Men wear turbans in parts of South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, and for some groups the meaning is religious rather than practical: men in particular wear one as a required part of their faith, which is worth knowing because it means a turban is not simply clothing you can ask someone to remove. Elsewhere it is also practical — cloth wound over the head keeps off desert sun and blowing sand. Women wear a turban too: sometimes traditionally, sometimes as fashion, and sometimes to cover the head during illness or hair loss. There is also a verb 'turban' meaning to wrap something turban-style, but it is rare and you will hardly ever need it; the ordinary way to say it is 'wear a turban'.
組成Came into English through French and Italian from Ottoman Turkish tülbent, itself from Persian dulband. Interestingly, that same Persian word also gave us 'tulip' — people thought the flower looked like a wound turban.
