Treggings are trousers that fit tight on your legs like leggings, but the cloth is thicker and firmer, so they look like real trousers and not like something you wear under a skirt. The word is a mix of 'trousers' and 'leggings', and it names the thing in between: stretchy enough to pull on with no zip or belt, solid enough to wear to work or school. Shops made this word up to sell clothes, so you will meet it on a website, a price tag, or a shop sign much more often than in speech. Many people who own a pair have never once said the word out loud; they just say 'these tight trousers' or call them jeggings if the cloth looks like denim. It is always plural, like trousers, jeans, and shorts: 'a pair of treggings', never 'a tregging'. The word is informal, quite new, and mostly British; some Americans have never seen it.
