1. 1

"Temporal" is a formal word that means "related to time," as opposed to "eternal" or "spatial" (related to space) - for example, "temporal order" means the order things happened in. It also has a separate, medical use: the "temporal bone" and "temporal lobe" are the parts of your skull and brain near your temples, the sides of your head in front of your ears. Some word historians think this second sense comes from the same root because hair at the temples is often the first to turn grey, showing the passing of time - though that connection is more of a nice story than a proven fact.
