This is how easily something or someone can be affected, hurt, or changed by something else. A person with low susceptibility to a disease does not catch it easily; a person with high susceptibility catches it easily. You can also have a susceptibility to persuasion (you are easily convinced), or a material can have a susceptibility to rust (it rusts easily). It is a science-and-medicine word, but people use it in everyday talk about health too.
