Stoked means very and very pleased about something. 'I'm so stoked!' It is informal and enthusiastic, and it belongs to speech, texting and social media, never to formal writing. The word came out of American surfing and culture in the 1960s and still carries a bit of that relaxed, young, west-coast feeling, though it has now spread widely — Australians and New Zealanders use it constantly, and it is common in British speech too. it works as an adjective after be or get, and takes about or for: stoked about the trip, stoked for the weekend, stoked that you're coming. Two honest notes. First, some older speakers hear it as a young person's word and would not say it themselves. Second, it comes from the verb stoke, to feed fuel to a fire and make it burn harder — so the picture inside the word is a fire being built up, which is exactly the feeling.
組成The past participle of the verb stoke, used as an adjective. To stoke a fire is to put fuel in it so it burns hotter, and stoke goes back to Dutch stoken, to push or poke fuel into a furnace. So a stoked person is, in the picture, a fire that has just been fed.
