Stockily is the adverb from 'stocky', and in real life you will meet it in almost one phrase only: stockily built. To be stockily built is to be short and thick and solid-looking — wide shoulders, a heavy body, strong rather than tall or thin. Picture a wrestler, or a farmer who has carried things all his life. The important thing for a student is that this is not an unkind word. English has plenty of cruel words for body shape; 'stockily built' is not one of them. It suggests strength and firmness, not fat. Police descriptions use it a lot for exactly that reason — 'a stockily built man in his forties' — because it describes without insulting. You will almost never see it alone, the way you can say 'She walked slowly.' 'He stood stockily' sounds wrong to a native ear. Keep it beside 'built', and occasionally 'made'.
