A slowpoke is someone who moves or does things too slowly. It is everyday American English, usually teasing: a parent calling to a child, friends waiting at the door. British English prefers . It is not a formal word and not a medical one; it is just how people hurry each other along. Though actually, many students in Taiwan meet Slowpoke first as a Pokémon name. That character was named after this older teasing word, not the other way round.
