    A slowcoach is a person who moves or does things too slowly — walking behind the group, taking forever to get ready, finishing last. It is everyday British English, usually teasing, the kind of thing you say to a friend or a child, not in a serious letter. American speakers usually say slowpoke instead. Though actually, it is not always mean: 'Come on, slowcoach!' can sound fond, like you are waiting with a smile. Coach here is the old word for a carriage, so the picture is a slow vehicle behind.
