Slithery describes something slippery — wet, slimy, or so smooth that you do not want to touch it, or cannot keep hold of it. A slithery fish, a slithery handful of , a slithery floor after someone spills oil: the feeling is a bit icky, not just “you might fall.” Slippery can be neutral (the ice is slippery; be careful). Slithery almost always carries a of dislike. It fits snakes, worms, wet , muddy banks, and sometimes a person whose manner feels hard to trust, as if they might wriggle out of a promise — that last use is a stretch from the snake picture, and you should know it is figurative. The word sounds informal and physical; you would use it in speech and in stories more than in a science report. Though actually, it is simply with -y on the end: “like something that .” If you already know , slithery is the feel of that movement in your hands or under your feet.
滑溜溜的(帶點噁心或不舒服,不只是「會滑倒」)
