    Very thin, especially describing a person's body — often used about someone who is thinner than average, sometimes in a way meant kindly, sometimes not, so use it carefully. It's also used for thin objects (skinny jeans). Separately, "the skinny" is casual slang for inside information — "give me the skinny on what happened."
