To skijor is to ski while something pulls you over snow or ice — most often one or more dogs, sometimes a horse, or a snow machine. You stand on skis and hold a line fixed to a harness. It looks a little like dog sledding, though actually you are not sitting on a sled; you are skiing behind. The sport comes from Norway. People do it for fun and in . The verb is uncommon in everyday English; you will meet it mainly in winter-sport writing. In many sentences people just use the noun skijoring instead.
