A skatepark is a place built for (and often for BMX bikes or scooters too). It is not a green picnic park. It has special , bowls, ramps, rails, and other shapes so people can ride and jump on purpose, instead of using random street . Cities put them in so riders have a legal, safer spot. The word is everyday modern English, one word, quite informal in feel but also used on official signs.
