Sequentially tells you how something is done: one after another, in a sequence. The lights came on sequentially means first one, then the next, then the next — not all at once. You number pages sequentially when each page is the next number. It is the adverb twin of sequential, a little formal, more at home in instructions, science, and careful writing than in chat. In easy speech, “one after another” or “in order” will usually do. It still does not mean “because of that”; it only means “in that order.”
