Scruffiness is the look or the state of being and a bit dirty — clothes not cared for, hair not brushed, a room not put straight. You might speak of "the scruffiness of his coat" or "a bit of scruffiness around the house." Informal. It names the look. It does not, by itself, mean the person is lazy or bad, though some people use it that way; though actually, some people also wear a bit of scruffiness on purpose, as a style.
邋遢;不修邊幅
