A screwdriver is a hand tool used to turn screws — to tighten them (turn in) or them (turn out). The tip comes in different shapes to match different screws; the two most common are flat-head and Phillips (cross-shaped). Separately, "screwdriver" is also the name of a cocktail made with vodka and orange juice — a fun extra fact, though the tool meaning is by far the more common one.
