Salaciousness is the noun: the quality of being salacious. It is the “too much interest in sex” itself — the cheap, nosy, sexual tone of a story, a film, or a way of talking. People say the salaciousness of the article when they mean that hungry private-life quality, not just that the article mentions love. Same rather formal, not-kind register as salacious.
