Sagaciously is how you do something when you understand it and judge it well: you choose sagaciously, you wait sagaciously, you speak sagaciously. It is with -ly stuck on, and it is just as formal and . The picture writers love is “he nodded sagaciously” — the person looks as if they see everything. Though actually, that nod is sometimes a little joke. The writer means they only look wise. In real talk, people would say wisely, or “she judged it well.” You will almost never need this word in a shop or a classroom chat; it lives in books.
