    To restock is to bring in more supplies to replace what has been used up. A shop restocks the shelves; a kitchen restocks the fridge; a clinic restocks medicine. You restock on something (rice, paper, batteries) or restock a place (the store, the ). It is an everyday verb in shops and homes, not a fancy one. You will also hear a restock as a noun for that filling-up, though the verb is far more common. Stock here means the goods you keep ready to use or sell — not soup stock, and not “stocks” on the market, even if those other stocks are related in older history.
