If something is repairable, it is broken, but you can still fix it. You have not reached the point where you must throw it away. We say this about phones, cars, bikes, washing machines — the everyday stuff shops and technicians talk about. ‘Is it repairable?’ often means two things at once: can it be fixed, and is it worth the money? A cheap toaster that costs more to fix than to replace is repairable in theory, but nobody will bother. People also stretch it to feelings and friendships (‘the damage is still repairable’), though that sounds a little literary. The tidy opposite in the dictionary is irreparable, which is quite formal; in ordinary talk people more often say ‘broken beyond repair.’ Repairable is an adjective. The thing is repairable; you repair it.
