If something is removable, you can take it off or take it out without breaking the rest. A removable cover comes off the sofa. A removable battery slides out of the machine. The point is “easy to take away on purpose,” not “it might fall off by itself.” It is a calm, useful word on boxes, manuals, and furniture tags. You will see it next to parts the maker wants you to : lids, shelves, liners, memory cards. It does not sound fancy, and it is not emotional — it is a fact about how the thing is built. Though actually, removable does not mean the thing will come off on its own. A removable hard drive still needs you to click it out. And it is not the same as mobile, which is about moving around from place to place.
