- 1
Regimentation is the noun for organising and controlling people very firmly — like soldiers in a line — and usually more strictly than feels kind or human. Schools, factories, armies, and even some offices can have it: the same , the same uniform, little room to choose. The word names the system, or the feeling of being packed into rules. It almost always carries a complaint. A team needs order; calling it regimentation means you think the order has gone too far and turned people into pieces of a machine.
