Recklessly is how you do something when you do not care about the possible bad or dangerous results. Same idea as reckless, but this form sits on the action and answers “how?”: drive recklessly, spend recklessly, speak recklessly. It is the everyday partner of the adjective in news, in warnings, and in blame. Though actually, like reckless, friends may use it a little loosely for “in a wild, careless rush,” not only for true danger.
