To reassess something is to think about it again, carefully, and decide whether your old opinion still holds. Maybe the facts have changed. Maybe you know more now. You can reassess a plan, a risk, a student’s work, or even how you feel about a person. Though actually, this is not a quick second glance. Reassess keeps the idea of judging — of weighing how good, how safe, or how valuable something is — and then doing that judgment again. Review can be lighter (“I’ll review my notes”). Reconsider is often about changing your mind. Reassess sounds a bit more official: teachers reassess marks, doctors reassess a patient, companies reassess their goals. It is fairly formal, but common in school and work. You might keep the same view after you reassess, or you might not; the word only promises a careful second look, not a change.
