    Ramboesque means “like Rambo”: in that loud, violent, one-man-army style. It is an adjective, not another name for the soldier. You might call a film’s last fight Ramboesque, or a leader’s “hit them hard” talk Ramboesque. People use it when they want you to picture Stallone’s hero — muscles, guns, force first — without telling the whole film again. It is informal-to-journalistic, a little .
