Precociously is the adverb of precocious: doing something at an age earlier than expected, or in a way that is more grown-up than the person's years. It works in two positions. Most often it sits in front of an adjective — 'precociously talented', 'precociously mature', 'precociously bright' — where it means 'unusually early for their age'. Less often it goes with a verb: 'she read precociously', 'the plant flowered precociously'. As with the adjective, the subject is almost always a child, or a young animal or plant in technical writing. The tone follows the adjective too. Attached to a word for ability (gifted, skilled, accomplished), it is admiring. Attached to behaviour or manner (precociously confident, precociously world-weary), it often carries a faint raised eyebrow — this child is playing at being an adult. It is a literary and journalistic adverb; you meet it in book reviews, profiles and biographies far more often than in conversation, where people simply say 'very early for his age' or 'way ahead of other kids'.
