'Pooh' is an old-fashioned word people say to show they think something is silly or not worth worrying about, like saying 'pooh!' to a worry. It's the root of the more common phrase 'pooh-pooh,' meaning to say that an idea or plan isn't important or worth taking seriously. Separately, in British English, 'pooh' (or 'poo') is also a soft, polite word — especially used with small children — for solid waste from the body.
